The Little Coates Art Group began life as an adult education class at Western Technology School. When the school closed in 2008 we still wanted to stay together to continue our efforts, and set up in St. Michael’s Church. We named ourselves ‘The Little Coates Art Group’ and have been painting there ever since. The group works in a variety of media in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with our tutor, Keith.

We treat our meetings as a time for instruction, relaxation and socialisation (the atmosphere is always very relaxed).
We tend to bring our own materials as we work in many different media but have a small stock of equipment for new-comers and those wanting to try something different.
Membership is £25 for a block of 10 weeks (plus £1 for refreshments). There is usually a week’s break around school holiday time.
